What are the different types of phone numbers available?

Monema has phone numbers from Spain and more than 50 countries around the world.
The different types of telephone numbers available are:
- Geographic: the number is associated to a specific region of the country (ex: 91 numbers in Madrid).
- International: numbers from other countries, for more information see the article: What is an international line?
- Free: the cost of the call for the caller is free, but you will be charged for the call. Please contact our customer service team to find out about the rates for receiving calls on toll-free numbers (e.g. 900 numbers in Spain).
- National: these are national numbers that are not linked to a specific region (e.g. 902 numbers in Spain).
- Mobile: these are virtual mobile numbers, i.e. they have the usual numbering of a mobile number but without the need for a SIM card (e.g. 6XX in Spain).
In some countries, regulations require proof of an address in a geographic location and even proof of a document showing the address. When you contract the number from the Monema application, you will be told which regulation is required to be provided.
